Orvas Yachting at Boot Dusseldorf – What We Have Learned?
Don’t know if you ever came across the term Blue Monday – it refers to the most depressing day in the year, most often third Monday in January. We are mentioning this because in this period we were lucky enough to be on Boot Dusseldorf, one of the biggest boat shows worldwide.
Apart from the hall 13 where we had our stand, this show offers plenty of opportunities for visitors in the remaining 16 halls. Not only you can see exhibited sailing yachts, motor yachts and other boats, but on Boot Dusseldorf, you can see a variety of equipment, diving gear and accessories. Orvas Yachting was presented by our colleagues Ana and Filip.
Most often we attend B2B shows where we meet our partners, so it was refreshing to be part of the show opened for a wide audience. And the audience is impressive – thousands of people with a passion for sailing and sea-related experiences.
Meeting with our partners is always great to get some new ideas and understand trends better. However, by direct contact with our clients at Boot Düsseldorf we really got the insight and took the pulse of the market. Many questions we were asked helped us to meet the habits of the clients and draw some conclusions.
We had a high demand for motorboats. Luckily for us, Orvas Yachting has a two-digit number of them in our fleet (check more here) so we really had something hot to offer.
By co-exhibiting with Croatian National Tourist Board, we shared location with our colleagues from different parts of Croatia. This was particularly nice because we have exchanged our experiences and talked about how we can all improve and make people who come to Croatia satisfied and happy about their vacation.
Overall, this was a wonderful experience for us and perfectly balanced combination of work and pleasure. We met lot of great people and look forward to being part of Boot Dusseldorf in the future.
