A group of 147 islands situated north from Split. Owing to their exceptional beauty they were declared a national park.
Island of Brac
Easily accessible from Split (15 Nm). Famous for its beach Zlatni Rat in Bol, a natural phenomenon, a lively nightlife, lots of restaurants with exquisite cuisine.
Hvar Island and Pakleni Islands (cca. 30 Nm from Split)
A charming old part of the city of Hvar, tourist villages such as Jelsa, pine forests, fish specialties and good wines.
Island of Vis (cca. 25 Nm from Hvar)
Dating from the 4th century, sandy beaches, interesting diving sites; the Blue Cave (Grotto)/ Modra Spilja on the Island of Bisevo is a natural phenomenon too; Komiza, a fishing village.

The town of Ston is known for salt-works and oyster farming; as well as for Plavac Mali, a wine produced from the homonymous wine grape.

A national park with two salty lakes surrounded by pine forests, numerous restaurants and plenty of places that can serve as shelter.
