Imagine that you sail into Trogir’s bay, this historic town-museum, on sailing boat, some luxury yacht or a romantic Croatian gulet. What kind of experience would that be! Town that looks like time stopped in it is on the island between the mainland and the island of Čiovo. The city, across the canal north of Trogir, which is not recommended to sail on due the sea depth of 2 meters, is connected with the mainland by an old stone bridge.
Another bridge connects Trogir and Čiovo. Passage height from sea level is 2.80 meters. The ships which cannot pass under the bridge from the direction of the Kastela Bay, sailing into on the west side between the island of Čiovo and rocks Čelice. Green lighthouse on Cape Čubrijan (BL 2s 8m 4M; accurate position 43 ° 30, 7’N 16 ° 14.6 ’E) will serve you for navigation. If you are coming from the east, the direction of navigation will show you the red and green buoys.
Beautiful Trogir waterfront in the heart of the summer season is almost entirely reserved for mega yachts. Before landing in the port of Trogir it is necessary to announce the arrival of the Port Authority at least one day prior to arrival. For sailors with yachts less than 25 meters and the other vessels it is recommended to berth in the ACI Marina Trogir, which is located on the north side of the island Čiovo, precisely opposite the city.
It has 174 berths in the sea and 35 places on land. All berths have water and electricity, and other facilities of the marina are restaurant, cafe-bar, reception with money exchange, cash machine, fitness center, charter agencies, service station, crane up to 9 tons, and fuel station on the west end of the marina.
In the area of Trogir there is also a Marina Agana. It is located on the western side of Trogir Bay, in the heart of the village Marina 12 kilometers from Trogir. It has 120 berths for boats up to 25 meters in length. You can moor across marina on the pier near the tower from the 16th century, which is now a hotel with a restaurant, and anchoring it in the center of the bay. It contains a restaurant, cafe bar, exchange office, reception, toilets, showers, shops, garage, parking and a crane up to 10 tons.
Other ports, bays and islands that stand out are Mali i Veli Drvenik, Borak, Solinska, Krknjaši, Fumija, Okrug Gornji, Raćetinovac, Seget, Vela Rina, Vinišće, Vranjica.

Even if I’m the best and most famous writer in the world, I would not have enough good words that could describe the beauty and uniqueness of Trogir. No wonder that his old town in 1997 was included on the UNESCO list of World Heritage: small streets, sacred objects that hide collections with many masterpieces, palaces of noble families, towers and fortresses, of which is the most famous Camerlengo, are talking their history by its authenticity and romantic appearance.
This place is ideal for sea joy: 1.5 kilometer east of the town there is a sandy and pebble beach with pine trees, and next to her is beach Komarac (Mosquito), very popular among young people. However, the most popular and the most beautiful beach on the Riviera of Trogir is Okrug Gornji on the west of the island Čiovo, 2 km from the center.
We recommend the swamp ornithological and ichthyologic reserve Pantan where tourism is developed so that this city-museum in recent years is also popular among the world’s bird watchers.
Since the position of Trogir is in the center of Dalmatia, is an excellent starting point for trips to the surrounding islands, the small towns along the coast and the town of Split, only 28 kilometers or 40 minutes away by car.
